“Whom have I in heaven but you?

Hey Ya’ll! I know it’s been a while… but I’m happy to report that since the last time I wrote…I’ve lost 7 lbs! Yay! A lot of things have been going on, my spirit has been on a crazy rollercoaster.  After a few days of prayer and just seeking God I found the peace that I so needed to continue on this journey of excellence.

I want to share an awesome Word I received today. I hope that you are encouranged to open your Word today and ask God to give you a special Rhema for your life.

Love K

Psalm 73 & 74

Message: “Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.” [Ch.73, V.25-26] There are times where we wonder why the people who do not live for God live so well, consumed by richest and fame. But we must not envy what they have, because it is only a momentary pleasure that will only last until the time of their destruction. They rely on the work on their hand, but what is that worth? What price do they have to pay? What have they given up? They will never experience God’s glory, they will never see God’s heavens open up and His kingdom fall on them; all this and more are saved for those who remain close to God. So, trust our God, if everything else fails you, do not let go of God, He will never fail you.

Command: Do not envy the wicked for their life lead to destruction. The enemy is able to make this of this world seem appeasing and sweet. We must not be fooled. Anything Satan has to give us will kill us. Satan is real! Satan only comes to steal, kill and destroy. His hides the reality of sin with money, fame, mansions, and sweetness, but just like a child eats too much candy and gets sick, that same way we will get sick and die if we let him feed us his filth.

Warning: “Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you.” [Ch.73, V.27] God cannot protect us if we are far away from Him. We must hold on to His Word of life more than ever, we are now experiencing the events written in the book of Revelations. Nation against nation, fires, Tsunamis, earthquakes; we must return to God NOW, before it’s too late. There is no such thing as “casual Christianity” Jesus is not casual. “I’m a good person, I never hurt anybody, and I pray sometimes, I don’t need to go to church or anything of that sort to be cool with God… I don’t want to be a fanatic.” – What is good enough for you is not good enough for God. Revelation 3:14-22 says “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning* of God’s new creation: “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.”Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” Lukewarm does not make the final cut.

Promise: “But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.” [Ch.73, V.28] God says that if we remain in Him, He will be our shelter, He will do wonderful things in our life now and in heaven, He will be our Sovereign God. The word sovereign means letter on the law, highest authority, supreme, independent and unlimited. That is who our God is and will be for us if we remain close.

Personal Application: Lord, I do not want to be lukewarm God. Today I made the decision to begin a 40 day water fast for your sake. Father, I want to use this time to receive complete healing of ALL my infirmities, sickness, generational curses and addictions. Lord, let this time be a time where I can connect with you like never before. Father, I call onto You on the name of Jesus Christ who died for me. Lord, give me Your divine revelation, pour out in me Your Holy Spirit and never let me be the same again. Lord, I read in Your word, that “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world!” Lord, You are greater; let me experience Your greatness, I am ready to see You. Lord, I am afraid that I may fail You, please do not let me fail, You know how my heart longs this intimate relationship with You. I have felt Your calling and my heart is willing, give me Your strength so that I may overcome all the attacks that will arise. Lord, for the next 40 days let Your precious Word fill me and feed me. Prepare my mind, body and spirit. I am done wasting my time on things that do not matter to You. Amen.

My Bible has ALL the answers :)

Hey Ya’ll,

I know it’s been a while…the truth is I haven’t been feeling very well…mostly because I hadn’t lost any weight…not one pound…except for today 🙂 down 3 lbs folks! 🙂 I would like to share with you guys that this current weight loss is due to my attempt to stick to a semi-raw vegan diet; except for the Herba-Life protein shakes I’ll be drinking. My doctor called me and informed me that my protein levels are extremely low…but before I continue let me share with you something I read today.

“For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.” – Philippians 3:18-20

“The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”- Romans 14:17

Isn’t God so good! I mean, He knew that some of us would have this problem…I’m a total emo-eater… but I’m excited to share with you a strategy Jesus gave me. Every time I want to eat something I shouldn’t, I say a verse out loud…. My verse is:

“…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” – Romans 8:37

Awesome, right! I mean God has been transforming my life in everything else…why not give this to Him too. So raw veggies and fruit and 1 gallon oh H2O has been the contributor to this week’s weight-loss 🙂

P.S. – For those of you reading this and taking this step of faith with me; let me know how you are doing 🙂

The three duties of every Christian are giving, praying, and fasting

Good Morning!

I am very excited about today… “Do tell” you say…

Well today, I will begin a 21 day Daniel Fast. A Daniel Fast consists of fruits, veggies, and water followed by lots of prayer and lots of time in God’s Word. I do not want to miss out on a great spiritual breakthrough because I fail to fast. In Pastor Jentenzen Franklin’s Book “Fasting” he says that when we eliminate food from our diet for a number of days, our spirit becomes uncluttered by the things of this world and amazingly sensitive to the things of God.

We see this in Psalms 42:7 When David was fasting and we see how his hunger and thirst for God was greater than his desire for food. It’s like something in us breaks when we completely depend on God during a fast.

In Ecclesiastes 4:12 it says “A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” What do you think Solomon is talking about here? GIVING, PRAYING, AND FASTING.

And then, Jesus says in Matthew 17:20 “Nothing will be impossible”. I am taking that promise to the bank now! hahaha. But seriously, I sometimes think about God’s blessing as a grocery store, I put in one thing in my cart, then another and maybe one more thing… but how many more blessings am I leaving behind? Why am I not filling up my grocery cart? All the items in the store are free, but what is keeping me away from seeing what has been laid out for me?

I don’t want to be easily broken when temptation comes knocking at my door, and trust me sometimes it knocks so hard it can get a little scary. I’m not just talking about food here, how many of you battle with sin every single day? I know it’s not just me.

If you are ready to experience a supernatural spiritual breakthrough with God, then begin a fast today, right now. There are many kinds of fasts, maybe you can fast from TV or music, or maybe just fast in the morning, however you chose to fast know that God will see your sacrifice, and with this extra time you will have, use it to dive into His Word.

Remember that with God we are able to overcome all things. Along with the Bible, I strongly encourage you to buy Pastor Jentenzen Franklin’s Book “Fasting”, it’s about $10 Amazon or B&N carry it.

Godbless 🙂

Be transformed by the renewing of your minds.

Hi ya’ll!

I’m just a girl fervently seeking God. I suffered loss, and although I knew God, I decided to self-gratify with food, in my unsuccessful attempt to heal a broken heart.

I lost my father on 11/22/2006 and on 12/05/2006 I ended a relationship that broke me in every sense of the word. We all go through moments of brokenness, and it is in those times that we should remain closer to God and cry out to Him from our knees. But, like many of us do, I allowed my flesh to take over, and although a pint of Haagen-Dazs a day made me forget temporarily; my waistline did not. It saddens me to say that within a year I went from 130 lbs. to 286 lbs.

Although, I have managed to lose some of that weight, I could be and should be more disciplined. But, the “Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda’s” are finished. “What if’s” kill the spirit.  Today, I am turning the page and I’m allowing God to transform and re-new my mind again!

“Do not be conformed to this world, but
continually be transformed by the renewing of
your minds so that you may be able to determine
what God’s will is-what is proper, pleasing,
and perfect.”-Romans 12:2

Now it’s time to take responsibility for my weakness and lack of faith and call on to God who can and will provide me with a strategy to overcome this obstacle.

If I am to call myself a disciple of Jesus Christ than I must live by the Spirit of Excellence, Disciple, Self-Control and Obedience. Our God is a God of order not chaos. And so, today I encourage you to join me in this fight of faith, remember that we are called to be conquerors and overcomers.

“No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him who loved us.”
–Romans 8:37

Lord, I humbly come before you and my request is that your Word speaks louder than ever, my desire is to be excellent as You are excellent. I ask this in the name of Jesus – Amen.
